What is the purpose of the second bash when puzzle comes in? Seems just a wasted turn...seems to work without it?

You must do two Empowering Strikes before Puzzle uses dodge.

Can confirm what Mutanis said. If you don't force him to use Dodge and Portal back to back, then he has an extra turn of immunity and an extra hit on you -- and you die first. (edited)

Still works, still incredible. The passing at the end so that you die at the same time with consistency, and your backline pets get XP without ever swapping in, is brilliant. Well done! (edited)

Probably the best team for this out of all, 7k xp on two pets per battle , using pet treats and hat!

Works great. Lost Limb must be S/B Breed & Rare quality

I ran this 150+ times today on my first Squirt day since starting pet battles. Got an entire set of level 25 pets to cover every single HC dungeon, all of the celestial tournaments, and all the pandaria trainers. In that whole time, it failed a total of once, when I critted the last pet twice in a row and killed it. Truly incredible strategy, thanks so much for posting it.

In order to hit the Pass button, I keep having to enter "/run ZoneAbilityFrame:Hide()" to hide the Call to Arms button (sure it's on an action bar, but the action bars go away in pet battles....)
There must be a better way or an add-on to fix this for good...

Can't you just move the Zone Ability button to your bars somewhere?
That's what I did since back in WoD
greenturtle

It *is* on one of my bars. But in the pet battle UI, those bars disappear/go invisible/whatever. I don't know why, but in 10.x this has caused the "assign this to your bars!!" button to pop up during pet battles, covering the "pass" button.

Odd. That doesn't happen to me. Maybe are you using ElvUI or some UI replacement?

I am not! I did search and it's affecting some others too, apparently even years back. Just one of Those Things, I guess.
Salkari wrote on 2023-04-19 07:34:17
Why not move the zone ability frame somewhere else using the Edit Mode they added in dragonflight?

I tried that, too, but it was the one thing that wasn't grabbable.

Literally my first comment here, I had to come to gush over this. Found out about this strat on Reddit and since today is Super Squirt Day, figured why not at least try it? Spent like 2-3 hours getting a S/B Lost Limb in the Maw (didn't THAT take me back, lol) and did a WQ to get the stone to upgrade my common to rare.
And holy hell does this ever WORK. I don't know what kind of genius you needed to develop this, but it's incredible. I'm using Safari Hat and both pet treats and it's like 3 battles to take TWO pets from 1 to 25.
I suggest using the Rematch string, the script, and then the UltraSquirt addon to put everything together. Just sitting here for a few hours today while hitting space and watching Netflix and leveling a TON of pets. Thanks so much for this, Mutanis. =D
If it's not working for you, make sure you have the S/B Lost Limb. It looks like a single yellow arrow if you're using PetTracker.

You can do S/S but is super tight (can't crit Puzzle either) and has a lot more rounds so I am not nagging the guy directly :D
R 01-08 as stated
R 09: Bash – Puzzle is swapped in
R 10-11: Empowering Strikes x2
R 12: Pass
R 13: Death Grip – Tyri is forced in
R 14: Empowering Strikes – now it oneshots Tyri because of Greedy buff
R 15-18: Pass until LL gets Damned (4 or 3 times)
R 18/19: Empowering Strikes – both sides die (edited)

Such a beautiful and effective strat that only requires a single wild caught pet to level up 2 level 1's without any risk. I did some testing with it during a normal Squirt Day and doing the single leveling pet strat (I use Enchanted Broom and Weebomination for that one compared to this it was pretty close to a wash.
Single Pet version was half as many fights but you had to do it twice as many times.
This version during Super Squirt Day along with the Safari Hat and BOTH food buffs up takes it from 1-14 then 14-21 and finally 21 to 25. The single pet method is 1 fight slower as each one goes 1-20 and then 20-25.
Great strat. Always good when you can have a 2 leveling pet strat that isn't something like the Puddle Terror sunny day one that takes forever. :)

All I can say, it was well worth scouring the Maw for the S/B Lost Limb!! This is flawless

Did not work as of Feb 2 on US server. S/P Lost Limb died early. Also have P/P Lost Limb and that too died early.
ikaika wrote on 2023-02-02 19:23:23
works fine with S/B Lost limb

Nerrus, your collection shows that you have only one Lost Limb, and that is a P/P.
The strat specifies that only an S/B will work.
I can't even think how Mutanis came up with this staggering bit of ingenuity, but as perhaps the only one around here more nerdy about mathing out battles than I am, I'm gonna believe that Mutanis did not make a mistake. :P
It'd almost be worth suffering The Maw again to pick up an S/B just to watch the elegance of it.

I improved Jophur's script with a simple edit.
If you start the battle without having resurrected your pets the script will quit the battle
quit [self.level!=25]
use(Bash:348) [enemy(#3).active & enemy.round=1]
standby [!self.aura(Undead:242).exists & enemy.hp<=564 & enemy(#3).active]
use(Death Grip:780) [round=5]
use(Bash:348) [round=3]
use(Empowering Strikes:1958)

I've had this fail a few times for me because of critical hits. I modified the script to be a little more resilient to randomness:
use(Bash:348) [enemy(#3).active & enemy.round=1]
standby [!self.aura(Undead:242).exists & enemy.hp<=564 & enemy(#3).active]
use(Death Grip:780) [round=5]
use(Bash:348) [round=3]
use(Empowering Strikes:1958)
