Here is our schedule for the day:11:00 am: Academic Lecture - "Youth Dance Matters" at Upstairs at the MAC, focusing on the often-neglected place of youth ballet.1:30 pm: Workshop by Dr. Anna Carapelotti on how ballet can aid Parkinson’s patients, also at Upstairs at the MAC.3:30 pm: Swan Lake Suite, an intergenerational performance with our students, Second Chance Ballet, alumni Rachel Neale, and American guest artist Stephen Everson, alongside Luc Burns from Opera Ballet Varna and students from S-MB Ballet dancing Excerpts from Swan Lake.7:00 pm: Rising Stars Gala at Downstairs at the MAC, featuring performances of Oona Doherty’s "Navy Blue," Argyro Tsampazi’s "Initiation," and Ruaidhri Maguire’s "Night Angel," danced by Leigh Alderson, concluding with a Grand Pas De Deux by Ukrainian ballet artists from the Ukrainian International Ballet.

You can’t have a ballet gala without the Grand Pas de Deux from Don Quixote - so we’re thrilled to announce Elizaveta Gogidze and Oleksii Kniazkov of @uiballet will dance this virtuosic piece at our Belfast International Ballet Festival in August! @liza_on_stage is a professional classical ballerina who has danced on the greatest stages in Japan, France, Italy, Germany, Greece, Canada, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Argentina, Dubai, USA, England, the Netherlands, and beyond She graduated from Kyiv State Ballet School (Ukraine) in 2009 and won a special prize at the Serge Lifar Ballet Competition - “Hope of the Competition.” In 2010, she became a First Soloist of the National Opera of Ukraine. In 2022, she became a principal ballerina of the United Ukrainian Ballet in the Netherlands! She has danced leading roles in Giselle, Don Quixote, La Bayadere, Paquita, and more @kniaz.oleksii was a Principal Dancer with Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after N.V.Lysenko (Ukraine). From 2004-2008, he studied at the Choreographic School of Vadim Pisarev at the Donetsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after A.Solovyanenko (Ukraine). In 2013, he graduated from Kharkiv State Academy of Culture, Contemporary Choreography Department (Ukraine) He has performed leading roles in such performances as «Romeo and Juliet», «Spartacus», «Swan Lake», «Les Sylphides», «Don Quixote», «Carmen Suite», «Paquita», and more In 2018, he won the Grand Prix of International Dance Competition Hellas (Greece) and in 2021 the Best Duet of Ukraine International Ballet Festival You don’t want to miss their performances at @themacbelfast on the 9th and 10th of August! Congratulations Belfast Exposed last night’s 40th year anniversary Gala at Belfast City Hall was a unique success! As HIGH POINTS YOUTH BALLET C.I.C. we loved sharing the space with Belfast Operatic Company and Big Belfast Choir Wishing this coming together opened up more ways to collaborate in the near future.
